Modern life stressors impair the human body's cognitive abilities, inhibiting concentration, decision-making skills, and creativity. To combat the physiological impact of stress and enhancing the sense of self-worth, inOasis will engage the users with a personalized immersive multi sensory environment responding to their bio-feedback and stress indicators, helping them clear their mind, concentrate better, and set the space to make confident creative sound decisions.

Project Description

InOasis is a VR application designed to help individuals manage stress and regain mental clarity, even in high-pressure environments or when constrained by time. Specifically tailored for startup employees and students facing overwhelming workloads, the app combines advanced VR technology with real-time biofeedback to deliver a personalized, multi-sensory experience. By integrating stress intervention techniques with knowledge of physiological systems, InOasis provides calming visualizations, interactive elements, and sensory feedback to alleviate tension and reduce feelings of overwhelm. A unique feature of InOasis is the inclusion of fidget-like interactions, which offer tactile engagement to further enhance relaxation and focus during the experience. With quick and accessible interventions, it bridges the gap between traditional stress management methods and the fast-paced demands of modern life. Developed under the leadership of Ava Jouyan, the project leverages expertise in psychology, physiology, and extended reality (XR) to create an evidence-based solution that fosters mindfulness, creativity, and productivity.
